Bio

Sage's research interests are situated at the intersection of energy justice, decarbonization, and public participation. With CETLab, she worked on identifying quantitative metrics to evaluate energy equity, and she is currently conducting a qualitative case study on perceptions of energy transitions in fossil fuel-dependent communities. In her PhD studies, Sage plans to use collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to examine the equity implications of low-carbon energy transition initiatives. Sage received her master's degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UC Santa Barbara, and she will begin her doctoral studies in Fall 2023.
