Bio

Jaxon is a PhD student in the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UC Santa Barbara (admitted 2021). His research interests lie in coupling demand-side energy modeling of manufacturing decarbonization strategies (efficiency, electrification) with supply-side models of our evolving energy system. Jaxon received his Bachelors in Physics from UC Berkeley in 2020, after which he worked in the Fuels and Products team at Argonne National Laboratory before joining Bren. Outside of his research, he enjoys spending his time rock climbing in the deserts and mountains of California.
