Postdoctoral Researcher

Bio

Dr. Terrén Serrano is a postdoctoral scholar in the Clean Energy Tranformation Lab (CETLab) at the Environmental Studies Department of the University of California Santa Barbara. His research focuses on analyzing local weather patterns to propose reliable and economically feasible power grid alternatives to maximize the integration of renewable energy sources. In previous work, he proposed an innovative solar forecasting technology for implementing automatic energy demand responses in power grids with high penetration of photovoltaic systems. He received a Ph.D. in Engineering in 2022 from the University of New Mexcio (UNM) and a Bachelor's degree in Technical Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in Industrial Electricity from the Universidad de Zaragoza in Zaragoza, Spain.
